I waited near the sanctuary doors for the ceremony to begin. I managed to capture a few shots of nervous/excited groomsmen lining up for entry, straightening shirt collars, and securing shoelaces when I spotted an anxious bridesmaid hurrying down the hallway. She told me there was something the bride needed me to film in the back room. I followed her quickly down the hallway and into the dressing room.
As I arrived, the bride and her bridesmaids quietly joined hands. The hectic, excited pre-wedding energy dissolved into quiet reverence as the women bowed their heads in prayer. Friends of the bride lifted her up to the Father, speaking life and blessings into the two lives that would soon be joined together as one. This was the priority of the bride. This moment of prayer is what she wanted to capture, preserve, and remember for years to come.
I felt so honored to be a part of this special, precious moment with the bride before her wedding. It was a perfect representation of Ben and Sarah Beth’s hearts for Jesus, their commitment to serving the Lord, and their desire for Him to be the center of their marriage. You can’t help but smile when you see these two interacting. They are such an obvious blessing to their friends and family.
With each wedding we photograph or film, we feel so privileged to share special moments like these. They are intimate, heart-level moments that we have been trusted to capture and preserve on film for the couple to enjoy for years to come. It is an honor and a pleasure.
We wish the Marts a lifetime of happiness and blessings! #themartsjoinhearts
